the amount of eye rolling I just did... I think I'm going to continue just because I'm finding this to be hilarious but not in a good way. The writing isn't fantastic and the POVs from both characters is so ridiculous but it's like watching a wreck happen and you just can't take your eyes off it.

so the "love" interest is a politician, the woman is a reporter, so it's a "forbidden romance" sort of thing. He's horny right out of the gate for her, steals her number after asking her out AFTER just meeting and doing an interview, knows where she lives, sends flowers to her work the next day... I'm a bit weirded out. The woman is totally for it though and doesn't think "hmm, maybe this is too fast?"

so I just got this eARC and it's average with a sprinkle of cringe. I think I rolled my eyes a few times so far...

Only a few chapters in and I'm kind of disappointed. I love Bones and for the longest time I've wanted a Bones POV but I feel like what made the first book great is not as present here. If you didn't read the first book first, the character development in here is almost nonexistent. If you don't already know the characters, there's not a lot of substance. The story is still building but feels a little shallow.

Aaaahhh the tension between Zahru and Kasta is perfect.

Someone's a little obsessive... book has got me hooked though!

Liking the sequel so far. A certain character is back from the "dead" but wasn't actually dead Zahru thought they were... and I'm so happy cause they are going to stir a bunch of crap!

"I may leave this part of the story out when I tell it, too... if it wasn't embarrassing enough that I got hustled by a mouse..." probably one of the best lines of the book. Almost done!!!

This has been a very entertaining book so far. I really like Zahru's pov and I'm super curious about this supposed love triangle I'm hearing about.

This isn't the first time I've picked up this book. Each time I pick it up, start a few pages, and then put it down for something else but this time I'm ready to read The Kinder Poison!

Taking a break from IPB to continue this trilogy! I got the Illumicrate Editions and they are gorgeous 😍

All the Barbarian books are on Kindle Unlimited! All flippin 22 of them! I'm probably going to still buy the special edition of book 2 but read the rest on KU.

I'm reading the other edition but I wasn't able to find it on the app. So far really interesting and I don't think I'll bring it with me to work tomorrow.

Holy crap... this book is good.

I "wished" for an eARC from NetGalley and it was granted!! So far the story is eerie and reminds me a little bit of A River Enchanted by Rebecca Ross.

Finished the book! Review coming soon! I'm deciding between a 4.5 or 5 star rating.

I'm finished with the book and I'll post a review later. Quick thoughts... a good read but disappointed.

Not too bad so far... there are things happening but I'm just slightly bored with the build up.

For some reason it won't let me do the page count: I'm on pg 102 of 225 and it's been a bit predictable so far but I'm enjoying it!

This is my third re-read of the first book. I did start it yesterday and I'm most likely going to be finishing the book tonight. :)

On chapter seven and I'm enjoying the book so far! I've decided to take a small hiatus from Fantasy books. I was starting to get into a bit of a reading slump and fantasy was just not helping. If Contemporary fails, I'll try Sci-Fi but so far very good.

Apparently, and this has nothing to do with the book I'm currently reading, I have a second Goodreads account with my other reading challenges etc. I completely forgot about it until today. I've been on Goodreads since 2011, technically.

Finally figured out what I'm going to read, or more like re-read :) I just received an e-copy of Ember of Night and Shadow of Light from Entangled and an eARC of Spark of Ash! I'm super excited!!!

Nevermind. I can't wrap my head around reading the book right now. Gaahh.... I'm not in a slump but I'm having a hard time choosing what to read and sticking with it...

I've decided to finally do my reread of Crescent City. My first experience wasn't great. It took almost 400 to 500 pages for me to really like it, which sucks. I'm hoping with this second read through my opinions will change.

Absolutely enjoying this read so far and I'm not stopping for anything... except for this update :)

Cabin in the Woods - Hunger Games - Escape Room - Battle Royale - kind of vibes. I'm liking it so far. The story is written in such a psychological way that it's keeping me very curious as to what's going to happen...

Starting the next book in the series. I hope it's better than the last book, especially with that cliffhanger!
