I like a really good mystery. Some are pretty boring or too predictable, but this one has captured my attention so bad that I forgot to make dinner for my husband and I... 👀😬 I should go do that.

I swear this book reads like an episode of Arrested Development.

Amy Tintera is one of my favorites, and I'm already loving this book. Lucy is hilarious.

I decided to make this a work read, and Painted Devils will be when I'm home. The Last Phi Hunter is charming and filled with action. I really like Ex as an MMC. I don't normally read a lot of male-lead stories, so this is a nice change.

I received a physical ARC from Angry Robot publishing. So far, this is weird / different but very good.

This book is WAY TOO LONG for the premise. I'm starting to skim passages and just reading the dialog. I'm kind of bored and waiting for things to pick up. The two MCs are stuck in a tower for 7 yrs as sacrifics for a goddess. There's not a lot they do except fuck and kind of wonder about a war going on.

Apparently I can roll my eyes harder. IT'S ONLY BEEN FIVE DAYS! And you are already in love with him??? Like, don't get me wrong I get there's instant attraction, desire, want, needs etc but love? Maybe the insta-love trope isn't for me, sometimes authors can execute this trope well but for an adult romance this book feels juvenile. I'm going to try to push through cause I'm hoping it'll get better, hopefully.

If I could roll my eyes any harder... alright, so the story, or lack there of, is okay I guess but all the hard work / execution that should have gone into the story only shows its face during sex. I'm only 140 pgs in and Harrow and Raith have done it multiple times by now. I like sex, I like reading it but there's gotta be story too. The only one moving it along is her friend Mal...
