17 - So yeah he went for it and Nino decided to quit the band!! So Yuzu did what he had to do and lied about it. He said he did it because their friends and he didn’t want her to scream and ruin the recoding session. She accepted that and things went back to normal...

30 - They play in the snow and he loses his locket!! He goes out to get it worried about soldiers for good reason too! He sees larger footprints in the snow... and Shiva opens the door to get wood to find an soldier there!!!! Oh no!

He runs under the window and breaks her fall. Then he touches her! She cries when he hesitates and he realizes he hurt her not touching her when he could. So he allows it! She’s delighted.

29 - Teacher is upset that the Others believe he was birthed from mother... the reason he doesn’t is he has a faint memory about one that looks identical to him being the one to curse him. He comes home after Shiva touches an Other. She’s in the window and her sheet gets carried off by the wind... and she falls out the window!!

We learn Teacher believes he was human with a family but he can’t truly remember... now from soldiers we learn there was s town close to the walls that had an outsider in it. There was a doctor there whose name was Albert... is that who Teacher is?!

28 - turns out it’s the Other watching them that visits! The soldiers are at their old place... mislead by a captured other. They reveal they want to experiment with Shiva and use her to return souls to mother before their curse rots them. Teacher realizes this is the real threat... the soldiers will become trees but these others life a lot longer...

27 - Shiva realizes she probably won’t see her family either if Teacher won’t see his... later they go and get kindling. Shiva remarks that Auntie really turned into a tree... he realizes she’s just been putting on a bright face. He goes to hug her and the spell breaks and she runs off. Oh no!! The soldiers...

26 - They find the old cottage based in what Shiva knows. We see the king and his spiritual advisor talk about the soul. The king finds god unfair. We learn Teacher used to have a family! He used to be human!

16 - Nino holds inside what happened with Momo but their new song has her realizing its about her and she reveals it all to Yuzu. He determines to be her friend while Momo transfers schools. His band mate is allergic to metal. Y tells N to sing then kisses her!!

15 - Momo’s manager chick tells him he needs to move on from the regrets of the past. So he goes to talk to Nino and talks her he was in love with her back then and he knew she loved him then too. She tells him she was in love with him then too. They don’t plan on talking again. He implied he’s with the girl he lives with.

Oh yeah and the new rival copy cat group Momo is writing songs for is a group he and Miou are in!!

14 - Yuzu determines to tell her at his friends suggestion (Momo). Then right when he’s going to tell her she runs into Momo on the roof next door!! And it’s his friend Sasaki!!?

13 - Momo and Yuzu meet. Yuzu argued with his mom who won’t allow music in the house. She Momo takes him to his house and they share a little. Momo feels Nino has been stolen from him. Yuzu runs out to meet Nino to man up as he’d been advised and sees her in a terror because she hadn’t heard from him all day.

12 - Miou and Nino talk. Miou decides to give up on Yuzu. She throws her earrings from him into the ocean. Nino thinks she’s crazy! She knows everyone thinks she is but she’s going to take it all the way! They find one of the earrings snagged on Nino’s clothes.

11 - she totally belts it as Alice but they keep up with her this time and end up being really happy with their performance. Momo reacts strongly to hearing her and his manager calls and gives her his guitar which he hurt. She shares it with Yuzu and he offers to teach her to play!

I really love this series and what is shows about friendship!

32 + side story - Shoko texts Shoya asking him for ideas how to cheer up Yuzuru... they get her a dead bird to photograph and give her compliments which creeps her out haha it was cute... in the side story we get a bit of history about Shoko speaking out loud. Yuzuru teaches her suki words so next time Shoya will know she’s saying love!

31 - Yuzuru finds a letter in her pocket and has Shoya read it to her. Her grandma implies that Yuzuru and her mom are quite similar and she can’t handle the idea. Their mom comes outside and Shoya gives her the crumpled letter and she thanks him for being friends with Yuzuru (while they read the letter we see the moment Yuzuru cut her hair.)

30 - awww I’m crying... this makes me so sad... her grandma died... that’s why she was crying... and Shoya handled it like a champ telling Yuzuru all the people she has in her life!

29 - we meet Yuzuru and Shoko grandma! She’s the one who got Yuzuru the camera. It’s pretty sweet their relationship considering their mom doesn’t give Yuzuru a break. Later Shoya sees Yuzuru in her school uniform crying.

29 - Shoya compliments Shoko and it’s a little overboard haha but very cute. She has a note for Nao and they deliver it. Yuzuru says Shoko is slowly changing even if Nao can’t see it,.

27 - you go Yuzuru!! She had the camera recording while on the Ferris wheel so they can watch what Nao and Shoko talked about... and Nao didn’t try to apologize or become friends. She justified how she treated Shoko. Shoko tells her she hated herself and Nao says who cares?! It’s pretty horrible...

26 - he talks to Nao realizing she set this up to try to get them back together. She wants things to be back as they were... she agrees to really talk with Shoko and they go on the Ferris wheel together...

25 - they head to the amusement park and he thinks Nao is picking on the tall girl and he learns that’s just the way she talks to her. They consider each other friends. He ponders that and feels that’s part of friendship the good and the bad all mixed together. Then he runs into his old friend Kazuki Shimada...

24 - one girl from his class gets a makeover and suggests he become friends with another boy. Tomohiro asks Yuzuru to borrow her camera to make their movie... she wants to go somewhere fun. All there kids go with... Shoko too even though she’s still embarrassed.

She lies and gets a look at the courtesan rolls... her mom isn’t in it. So she almost wretches... sigh so dramatic. Reminds me of Bonewitch!

The fortune by Master Tekoa was fascinating... finally something happening besides the sex part of the story!! I don’t agree with Wren about Lei’s actions but she is falling in love so.... I do wish if Lei was a special snowflake she was powered by what she experienced in the bedroom of the king instead of being different because of it.

GAHHH WHAT A DUMB CHICK! She’s not strong! I just don’t buy it. And her family would be dead if they weren’t already. Soooooooo contrived it pains me to read this... I’d admire s girl much more who endures what she must to save her family (for real) and lives to fight when there’s a proper opportunity to. Not when an author contrives for her special snowflake!

I like Zelle! How refreshing. I like her perspective much more than Lei’s. It made me roll my eyes when she realizes she desires Wren. I don’t doubt it but it’s so instalove... it’s the definition of instalove!

The world building is absolutely divine 5 star! The plot is so slow and plodding... it’s s book about sex that never talks about it. It’s almost like it’s shameful, it’s quite an odd feeling. I didn’t really connect with Lei either... she feels quite contrived. She’s not ever talked with Wren much but she is “being stirred” I don’t know smacks of instalove but the pacing is so slooooowwww it muddles it.
