5 - She’s brought on as an apprentice and assigned to Ryu a 12 year old herbalist with great knowledge and an interest in poisonous plants. An official comes and drops a glass with the restorative Ryu made... we learn people don’t trust him because of the discrepancy between his knowledge and age.

Day 7 - S realize Shishio is a daytime mini shooting star to her at the end... her uncle is horrified as her failing grade and hires his friend to tutor her. Yuyu is positioned as really liking Mamura.

Day 6 - So she can send a selfie home Yuyu does her makeup because she says S looks sloppy! She’s stunning and runs into both Mamura and Shishio ... they are both shocked... it’s funny when she hides in the curtains from the teacher.

Day 5 - Suzume confronts Yuyuka who admits to everything... instead of getting hurt S slaps her silly when she insults her friends. When S realizes she did it to get close to Mamura she thought it was understandable (I don’t) and covered for her in front of her crush. S feels she’s twisted but okay. Different from most heroines

Love, love love the chapter page art! I love the black parts up against the screen tones and the neat way the characters are drawn.

Yuyuka set it up where Suzume got the wrong location then told the class (who ended up getting themselves invited) that she said she’d be late. She seemed really pleased with herself. The teacher went to find her when he heard about it from her uncle and found out from another student. He knew right away who did it and tells her. She decides to go anyway

Day 3 - Mamura is obviously liked by another girl who sees them together and she immediately befriends Suzume who loves that this cute doll like girl reached out to her. It’s pretty sad girls do this to other girls. We see that not only this but she thinks Suzume is an idiot.

Day 2 - at school she struggles to make friends... her teacher (that guy) tells her to loosen up. So she thanks the guy who let her borrow his book. And when he has a blushing fit, she agrees to keep it a secret if he’ll be her friend.

Day 1 - her father is transferred so she’s sent to live with her uncle in Tokyo. He doesn’t pick her up like he should... she faints and her homeroom teacher finds her and contacts her uncle. She learns at school that the glasses wearing dude is her teacher! She’s a good eater but rather ho hum about school.

Ooooh her powers are pretty neat! A fae brings her a mirror with her brother in it. He wants her to marry him in return for taking her to him. She also has a best friend in her mind that she manifested. He’s kind of her lover too...?!

Well that was depressing! I still have hope for loving this book... BUT it’s highly unlikely that EVERY crow in the entire kingdom would be in the rookeries. This is a major plot hole to me. A much bigger campaign would have been needed to accomplish this... which didn’t even need to be shown. It could have been recapped while we went over her depression.

I think it was too swift of a change... being a bully is innate due to your example. It takes a lot of trying to resist these tendencies. Still I really enjoyed his change. Hana is way more forgiving than I.

She meets her dad!

Whoa a bunch more stuff after a bit of waiting again... I realize we needed 100 days to pass but it actually dragged some along the way. She really overreacts to the first seizure she sees but this is actually very true to how a Korean would act. Medical things horrify them. But she needed to tell him and allow him to decide.

The fortune tellers took K! She gets the fortune Fire... whatever that means and thinks about getting a dragon. They’ve known each other since they were 10 and have been inseparable since!

Well I already know what’s going to happen but I guess we get that from the blurb... I’m waiting for the dragons!!

91 - Chika has a balloon pumping game ready to go... it tests everyone’s nerves but especially our two hyper successful leads. And even a Ishigami who successfully beat past fears!

90 - Ishigami lost but he succeeded in putting his past behind him! And Kaguya made sure none of those students would be around to remind Nd him haha love her!

89 - he kept getting his expulsion extended because he wouldn’t apologize when it was brought to the student council ‘s attention that he was meant to go on to high school they did an investigation that was kept hidden and made deductions about what happened. The guy broke up with the girl... she screams at him that she holds a grunge but he does what Shirogane sad... go to hell jerk! Loved it!

88 - We learn what happened to Ishigami that he has these rumors following him... he liked a girl who was nice to him in middle school... when he learn her boyfriend was cheating on her with multiple girls he demanded the guy stop. Instead the guy goaded him into punching him by suggesting dirty stuff then twisted things to make it seem all uncalled for.

87 - we get these one page comics for the athletics festival. They were okay... not really a fan. At the end Ishigami ‘s past comes back to haunt him! And after his success on the cheer team.

86 - Shirogane’s dad shows up to the athletic day... Shirogane is embarrassed his dad runs into Kaguya and takes the time to tease her about his son! We also briefly meet Chika’s who is just as friendly as she is! He invited them all over for dinner.

84 - we follow the disciplinary committee and hoy was it boring and unfunny! Not sure of the point except for use to learn Milo doesn’t like Ishigami because of a baseless rumor...

I was real upset how his haleomini used her life to save her grandson they the bead. I figured this is what was meant to happen and I liked how sudden it was because it happened too fast for it to be boringly predictable even if I suspected what was coming. I’m excited for the last part of the book!

Woah! We went from 4 to 8 in 75 pages! This has been a rather ho hum understated romance sort of until suddenly a plot that has been brewing in the background is blown wide open! If only Miyoung trusted her mother a little and her mom wasn’t such a big B!

Then he finds one of the gang medallions and an envelope with an address. Fascinating turn of events... he’s going to this address it’s on the island where his dad and two uncles grew up.

He realizes he doesn’t want anyone to die because of him... when he learns Hana cuts herself he can’t bully her anymore and stops the others kids from doing so too. He sees his dad brutally kill a guy who tries to cheat him (stupid)! And confronts the man when he finds lipstick on a handkerchief his mom embroidered for his dad.

Seems like he’s remembering what happened to his mother... seems she may have died of an overdose. Younger brother was probably killed for supporting his mom in her thought that his dad is abusive. He realizes Hana may be looking to kill herself at the Han River.

84 - China sees Shirogane can’t dance and so tries to teach him but grows frustrated and leaves... Kaguya comes in and uses this teaching opportunity as a way to touch him. China comes back and hates what Kaguya is teaching him. They end up tugging on him and so he understands how the net in the dance felt. Lol
