22 - the blonde guy talks it out with Kou and learns Narumi probably did all this to get F to lay off of Kou. Then Kou gets a phone call about Narumi that her mom won’t live with her now. He goes to her... when F sees she gives chase and so does K! When Kou sees them he deliberately embraces Narumi... and she admits she did it on purpose. He says it’s okay as he watches K drag F away.

21 - So Narumi tries to act like Kou was uneffected by the kiss to Futuba and so does Kik! But Kou escorts the girl to the exit and hunts down F! K tries to get him to not follow her but he shakes him off and chases her. 🤣 Then he kisses her over and over to over come each objection. Pretty cute.

20 - She’s trying to figure out if Narumi likes Kou and how close they are. She starts to freak out. Narumi and Kikuchi both like Kou and Furuta so they are dismayed when the 2 appear to kiss at the end of the chapter (thru a kiss bump!) the teacher and the blonde kid have a cute interaction about the dark haired girl.

Crazy thing is the scandal totally would have been this big of a to do! I love how they handled it though! Hire em!

Too much telling though. Sooooo much telling. I’m loving it but more natural relaying of info is needed.

I really love Emery! He enjoys what he does and loves music! It was sad to read about his estrangement from his parents. I really love scattered Alana too! It sounds like she’s really broken from her brother’s suicide. It’s so hard when they do that! You feel so guilty. They are both so genuine and I love how they were locked in a closet together!

She had a chief’s string; she had Pa’s blade; she had a bag of Phoenix teeth. She had a king-to-be’s oath; she had a Hawk’s sword; she had a bastard boy’s heart. She had a mask and a fistful of fresh mint.

What a way to end it! Satisfying if not yet happy...

I loved the way Fie’s thoughts flowed as she worked out what to do now that their aunt won’t hold with the promise made... she comes to some conclusion... I feel like it was something she realizes? But I’m not sure what. Up to that point I was really relating to everything she thought!

Gahhhh this is so good. They claw their way to a pass... the vultures getting closer and closer until they’re too close. So Tavrin fulfills his duty and becomes a distraction. Then the prince and Fie have to work through their differences without their peacemaker to keep them from each other’s throats. I’m so proud of this kid! He stuck with her all the way to his aunt!

6 - they settle back into a happy life. His little girl takes his creature around and they meet another girl lost and help her! What a neat way to interpret immigration and she us some of the horrors people escape to come to a new country.

5 - a year passes.... things are growing in the pot he was given... he sends my net and a letter home... finally he gets a letter and learns they are here! He runs out to meet them. The spreads are gorgeous... I didn’t share any so you’ll want to go read the book!

4 - he searches for a job. This was pretty funny because the cute creature was helping him out. He met an old man and heard his story... pretty sad. Came home from war to everyone dead. Then he met a group of this man’s friends and they played some kind of game with balls.

He’s frightened by the boy’s creature because of the creatures roaming around his old home. The father tells his story coming there escaping from giant people. He goes home with them and they gave him a jar.

3 - He tries to figure out how to eat. He meets a woman on a boat who shares he story about coming to this country! (She worked a horrible factory job instead of being allowed to learn.) He finds a market but doesn’t understand so a boy and his father explain.

2 - he arrives! And it was so cute how everyone sent letters home. It took the whole day to enter the country. And he had to ask for help finding a place to stay. He meets a couple of cute little creatures with their people. His room has one too! I wonder why?

1 - a dialogue less graphic novel set in historic European ? country. A man leaves his family to go on a trip. They are very close. Their city has dragon like creatures or shadows?

Woah... Tatterhelm chases them... who knew a middle could be so good?! The trap, the creatures, the guys without eyes! Her burning through teeth and the vultures closing in... and now a little loving...

Awww they didn’t even need Handog... the prince was coming of his own volition. Pa kind of suspected I think... hence their entrance at the gate! I forget about the Vultures. And it makes sense where they’re going now. This is really really good. Her Pa protected them on the road there ... now she has to learn the chief ways herself.

Oooh nice percentage to get to this point... I loved the way the city was laid out and described. She’s fulfilled her part but we know things are going to go pear shaped. I love all the use of the teeth magic. I’m just loving this book so much!!!

The back history is well spread through the story as different action makes it pertinent to what is happening!

This is so good! This is world building in action rather than as back history! It’s kind of creepy too about bones and a plague and magic out of teeth. I really love how everyone felt real and not bleeding hearts or morally grey to either extreme. They are just regular people trying to make it and wanting the best out of their current situation.

Ooooh after a couple disappointing reads this 10% has be sitting up and taking notice! I like this creepy world and the girl Fie! The prince and his look alike bodyguard too! She extorts a prince haha. The crow dance was fascinating too! Classic royals fighting for power but the plague makes it interesting for sure!

It’s a little stiff trying to get all that music now info out. I am intrigued by A and like how excited M is about their comeback and his love of being an idol. It’s a change from the other idol book I read that focused on the pressures idols feel.

Comeback noun the release of new music by any K-pop artist(s), e.g. single album, mini-album, EP, or full-length album; a comeback is referred to as such no matter the popularity of the artist(s), the level of success for the new song(s), or the length of time in between each release

So yeah she gets her wish but then makes a stupid request so has to kill the guy. Very contrived. If I liked Fortuna at all I would love this book, but I hated her with a fiery passion. I enjoyed the complexity of what was going on. The multiple relationships she’s in.

The trials started abruptly. I do enjoy how commonly held thoughts on the fae are subtly brought up then dispelled. Laurie is odd. The leviathan poor thing was a fascinating trial.

The combining was interesting. The Genno betrayal obvious. I would have burned it instead... same amount of delay. More travel! 😩

She hunts down Tatsumi’s soul and finds him all chained up behind a wall of ice. She uses her fox fire to free him. Now they fight the demon!

Loved the illusion on illusion... I suspected that right away but that is H’s arrogance... loved seeing Tatsumi’s memories... I wish we could have seen more. Makes sense he’s in the castle. Neat too that before the elder kitsune gave her a bit of his power. Strong end!
