8 - probably my least favorite chapter so far... Cecile tries to get painting aficionados to think what painting fits the criteria. Twiggy falls after being caught in the museum and breaks a leg looking for Snowbebe who was hiding in the fireplace. Patrick blessedly sees Twiggy and takes responsibility for him.

7 - Twiggy the hairless cat takes care of Snowbebe... once Snowbebe complimented the can on its ugly body. He really appreciated that. Marcel, Cecile and Patrick now hangout at night, doing the rounds and talking about his sister. She told him not all the paintings speak and some are even evil. The one she liked has a children’s festival. The one eyed cat is Bluebeard!

6 - Sawtooth hunts Snowbebe and wounds the cat but Marcel and Patrick save him and bandage him up. Sawtooth goes to finish off Snowbebe but the one eyed cat comes forward... Cecile brings a catalog of all the paintings to Marcel. She wants to help him find the painting his sister lives in.

5 - Marcel believes his sister lives on in the paintings. The spider warns Snowbebe about Sawtooth. He’s out to kill him... Patrick says Cecile must think Marcel is crazy... he counters that she listened wide eyed. Anyway it’s from his sister that Marcel learned that the paintings talk to some people.

4 - Snowbebe is frolicking in the painting and tries to jump a cliff... he ends up in the floor and Papa cat finds him and hides him from employees. We learn from the old cat that Snowbebe is so young because those in the paintings don’t age. We learn Marcel (the night caretaker) had a sister who disappeared in the museum as a child.

3 - some kids on a tour stay behind in the museum... Cecile and Patrick find them on the camera. The kids find the white cat and chase it...they all lose it in a dead end hallway. The night caretaker says it escaped through a painting!! What?!

2 - Snowbebe is the little white cat with too much curiosity... he’s left with the really old cat inside the museum while the rest go outside at night to play. Fat cat nearly gets eaten by a dog. Haha it’s odd how among themselves the cats take on human form. Then they have conversations. One cat wants to kill Snowbebe!

1 - we meet two people... Cecile who is a tour guide but feels there are too many people so wants to go to a different museum. She noticed a white kitten listening to her lecture. And Patrick, a new guy who bugs the night watchman with questions. The man takes him to the attic to feed the cats. Patrick says it’s probably against the rules.

Some major, major reveals this volume, not a wasted moment. This is the worst Ken has ever come up against. I hope he can survive it.

132 - Ken blurts our he and Touka are marries so they have a wedding even though a bite weds them (go figure!) Yonebayashi finds out about the execution and chews Urie out. He says maybe they should become terrorists. Ko is left behind when they go on their expedition for food... implanted in his tongue is something that will reveal his location...

131 - Touka admits she’s pregnant and Kaneki realizes she’s not saying anything about the execution because she chose their child over her friend. He’s also aging at a rapid rate. He’ll die if he uses his kagune too much or sustains a massive injury. Ayato finds 3 children ghouls who don’t realize they’re ghouls! A large entity is in the city...

130 - Kaneki is told by someone else that Touka is pregnant. She won’t tell him. He doesn’t tell her about Yoriko being sentenced to death but she finds the letter when she goes looking for him. We see this is a trap for Ken... to take out the head of the goat.

129 - Ayato moves forward into ward 24th’s city to meet the one eyed ghoul there. Kuroiwa learns his wife has been arrested for assisting ghouls having known Touka in school. Touka requests a hamburger trying to choke it down to save her child. Mutsuki sent Ko with a note to Ken telling him about Yoriko’s arrest.

128 - the ghouls have been driven underground ... I guess those are considered bad? I don’t understand but Touka and the children they’re with said it... they are starving to death. Ayato is on a mission underground and they find... a city! The CCG leader felt the Washu were lazy... I guess he has a group of ghouls he’s harboring.

127 - The ghoul eradication rate is 88%! Naki saves a boy Ko who is being chased. They assume he’s a ghoul? And take him to the goat’s underground hideout. The king returns and a body is stabbed?

126 - several effected by the battle between humans and ghouls are visited! We learn Mutsuki was lying about killing Touka’s friend. Aura visits his legless aunt and is very bitter. Investigator Ui learns someone dead is alive and certain wishes are reignited.

124-125 - different friends within the CCG and the Goat talk. No one is happy. Touka is so grief stricken but has no outlet. She jumps Ken and we get a really detailed chapter of sex scenes. It’s pretty gross and not really tasteful like I would have liked.

123 - Toru Mutsuki visits Ken at the cafe. She fights and stabs him with suppressant. He and Shinsanpei Aura get the drop on Ken so Touka fights Mutsuki. Mutsuki brandishes a human hand... Touka’s friend Yoriko Kosaka who was going to marry another investigator. Mutsuki found out about her and killed her “resisting arrest” GAHHHHHH how horrible!!

The king is really dumb. For supposedly being sharp I really can’t see it. Why go to all this trouble to ruin his own land and a magical house that makes the land prosper? For revenge on a man he could just shoot in the head? Better to do so and install Vi in the house as caretaker with a guardian who lies to her and tells her, her dad wanted to kill the house. This just doesn’t make sense.

Kato is an intriguing fellow and tells the tale of Tang’s probable creator. Ben tries to rekindle a romance between Kato and Lizzie.

GAHHHH this is adorkable! I love Tang so much! His squeals haha and how he embarrasses Ben! Lizzie the robot historian gets them a name Kato Aubergine and an email address. She wines and beds Ben before, treating Tang very well. At the airport Tang is treated poorly but admits he’s tagged and didn’t say because Ben didn’t need to know.

160 - Luck is dropped off where the bomb guy and Vanessa are and they fight! He’s able to do damage to Luck because the possessed Luck doesn’t know the kind of fighter he is. I loved his face when he blew him up! It was a neat drawing. It ends with Asta’s arrival in the distance because Luck isn’t down for the count!

159 - Asta’s desire to save the Father brought him another sword!! The one Licht had earlier... it cured the father and also broke the reincarnation spell on the magic knight!

158 - They race after to the capital but they cross paths with the floating base and see Hage being attacked. Nozel for once isn’t a pretentious ass and tells Asta and Yuno they can defend their town but hurry and rejoin them as soon as possible. He doesn’t allow Noelle to go instead acknowledging her as a royal!! I know I was shocked!

157 - Licht says the black grimmore and the swords are no longer his. They regroup... those not possessed due The the spell regroup!

156 - Yuno and Asta join forces and Licht contends with them. Cool double page spreads and great battle scenes.

They go to a new place Wonder Hole. They ask where it is and setup a new base nearby at an outpost. They are getting decimated in the entrance. Soma and his group come by and save them when they’re about to die. They explain the right way for beginners to fight in the area. And get invited into the Dawn Breakers guild. In the end they beat the difficult monster suggested.

So Merry and Haruhiro are the only ones who didn’t get an offer for a new group. They eventually meet and admit it. Kuzaku comes and offers to be thank again. Having decided to stay with the group they realize they need him. So even though Haruhiro didn’t like him at first he offers him the job...!

They mourn Mogozo each in their own way. After returning to fighting they realize it’s going to be hard without him. They relied on him for tactics and to dictate what they each did. Now they don’t have that! Haruhiro almost died!
