Still a little jumpy. I wish this author would be more consistent in message. I think other authors, like David Perkins or John Hattie, or the Wiggins/McTigh team have said the same thing more clearly: if we want children to learn something, they need to 'do' the subject the way scientists 'do' science. However, that doesn't mean no lectures. That means shorter lectures, more activities, and more thinking about both.
