Found this gem in a small bookstore months ago and now I’m finally getting around to reading it.
The stories feel rushed + dramatic like a lot of older shōjo I’ve read, but it’s still cute.
I wasn’t expecting something this cheesy to be so relatable and get me in my feels though.

This is one of the best true crime books I’ve ever read.

Did a bit of reading on the GSK a decade ago, as well as when he was caught back in 2018, but I’ve forgotten a lot of details until now.
My mind is blown by the amount of strategizing and attention to detail he put into his attacks.
This book is written so well too. Very glad I grabbed it.

The personal stuff about Michelle McNamara’s life is making me a wee bit emotional.

I didn’t realize Michelle McNamara is the person who coined the name “Golden State Killer”. :o

Damn Keiichi’s just really goin’ through it all the time, huh?

This is one of the best fiction books I’ve read so far this year.

The way this makes fun of cultural appropriating, new age hippies is hilarious and spot on, even 20 years later.

Five volumes in and I’m still trying to figure out what the hype is about. I read a synopsis a long time ago so I kinda know what’s going on, but I still don’t understand how this is considered top tier horror manga. Also, I think I’m doomed to fall asleep while reading this series because I fell asleep the last 3 times I was reading this volume.

Can’t believe it’s taken me 13 years to finally start reading this book.

My reading buddy brobro came to visit me this past weekend and we found soooooo many good deals on books at thrift stores! <3

Do I spy a Blue Velvet reference? Nice.

I didn’t know what to expect from this book, but I will say it’s incredibly well written.

This is one of the strangest manga I’ve read in a minute.

I think I like this more as an anime, but that’s okay.

This is giving me Tender is the Flesh vibes but worse.
