Just connected that Jean in the story is Auggies “baby mama” and that means Sully up in outer space is his daughter because her moms name was also Jean. I could be mistaken, but I think I’m right.

Ether is finally approaching Earth and the first visual evidence that something is wrong on the planet is that the side of Earth where it is night time is completely black. There are no big city lights visible from space like there would normally be.

His mom gets locked in a psych facility, dad dies early. Is Auggie a socio-path in early years it seems. He hates the idea of love, doesn’t have compassion and can’t understand people with high emotional responses. He is excelling at work, handsome and popular with the media. His goal is to go down in history with a theory in the science field. Wants to be a name easily recognized.

Auggie grew up with a depressed Mom and his mom was happiest when he was interested in science. This is why he went into the field. Auggie gets cocky as he gets older. Sleeps with lots of girls and becomes very full of himself. Breaks a lot of hearts during his “experimentation” of love and wooing women. He is an asshole. Plays the women, shames them for sex, etc. jerk!
