Poorly written and sketchy research, but some interesting lore, nonetheless.

This book is proving to be an enjoyable, lovely, surprise find. Leibovitz "pilgrimages" to various places of interest, photographing what compels her - unlike being on assignment. This is revelatory to her, as is the interest she finds in learning about Emily Dickinson, Robert Frost, Virginia Wolff, and where they lived and worked and with whom. My learning about this through Leibovitz's learning about this is meta.
