For [some], theology must be unified in order to be authentically Christian. Perhaps they need to be reminded that for almost one thousand years Christian theology was more or less unified by coercion. Dissent was suppressed by threat of excommunication, torture and even death. Apart from that, there has never been perfect unity of belief among Christians.
