Have they cast this movie yet? I would suggest Jordan Rodrigues as Park. He's a little too old, and of Malaysian descent, but he's always been who I pictured. (Fuck yeah, Dance Academy!)

This book is basically short essays on Greer's past and thoughts about different topics. It's kind of like listening to a friend who talks a lot ramble on about her life. It's amusing but there are some points that could have used editing. Also, I'm pretty sure she doesn't understand the the point of the Ugly Duckling story.

The audiobook for this is starting to get to me. The ridiculous names and attitudes and quirks are bad enough, but the ridiculously proper british accent just ramps everything up. I'm finding it harder and harder to listen to.

The problem with work like this, is that the author pits herself against this singular phenomena, this force of nature and talent and personality that was Julia Child. Most anyone would look bad in comparison.

Ugh, I'm so annoyed with Julie. I'm an imperfect person, and I have some of the same tendencies as she when I'm extremely frustrated, but she seems to be at that level of general unpleasantness and on the verge of freak out all the time. Too bad the other characters are almost nonexistent except to provide sexual anecdotes and bitch about aspic.

I'm listening to this in audiobook form. Ashley Clements does pretty great impressions of the other actresses. Especially Lydia. Whaaaaaaaat.

Audiobooks of smart, funny women reading their own memoirs is becoming one of my favorite genres.

The more I read, the more I realize how perfectly cast this movie is.

I'm seeing some reviews and discussions in which people complain about the tone of the log entries - that they are juvenile or embarrassing. If you are one of those, I suggest you read Mike Mullane's memoir. These entries seem like a fair representation of what astronauts are like. I recommend the audiobook; I assume these log entries are audio or video based, not typed. It seems like a better way to read this one.

Oh, here we go again with the incorrect Tucson stuff. It's bad enough these teens are always going into the desert at night, alone, with no water, but now you're telling me they are watching fireflies?

A story within a story within a story. I'm becoming wonderfully lost in this book.

The audiobook narrator makes all the girls except Clary sound like Idris has been relocated to the San Fernando Valley. It's a bit irritating.

I am really enjoying this story but Ben drives me crazy. Maybe it's the audiobook interpretation of the character, but every time he says "honey bunny" I want to kick his fictional ass. It's just constant.

It just occurred to me that these roommates are kind of like the women's murder club, only they are all witches. It fits, right down to the main character's federal agent love interest.

Feeling queasy after the gym, this was not a good audiobook choice. PS see, cats can't taste sweet. I'm not sure why, but people always think I'm stupid or full of crap when I say that. Like they assume I would state a fact without researching it. Please.

I'm behind on my reading goal for the first time ever! Must read some graphic novels to catch up.

3rd person present tense, eh? It's almost like he has been writing screenplays and graphic novels. ;)
