this is a very obvious 2013/2014 dystopian novel so far. i kinda like it tho. it reminds me of when i was on summer break during hs, reading divergent for the first time

i just really despise the whole idea of “if a boy is being mean to you, he likes you.” bc that’s bs and he shouldn’t get away with that

when the protagonist says she’s against consent bc it makes things weird 😐 i don’t like the messages this book is giving to younger readers

conrad is an actual asshole i swear to god if belly ends up with him….

cam is sweet but pretty boring lol it’s weird bc i don’t have strong emotions when reading this book but i also can’t stop reading it…i think bc it feels so nostalgic? like i have issues with some things but i’m also just enjoying the simplicity of it

the way these boys are constantly telling belly what to wear and how to look whenever she goes out :| like pls stfu

belly’s brother is a jerk and i’m not enjoying the “i’m not like other girls” type trope that is forming. there’s also some subtle body shaming? i get that they’re teens and have body issues but…

i bought this book so long ago and i wish i read it then lol. it’s not bad but it’s too early high school-y for me to really get that involved in it. it’s quick and easy to read tho so i’m definitely gonna continue reading it

i’m feeling kinda eh about this book. henry and alex have a little more chemistry but their relationship is mostly sex and i’m losing interest. i need a little more emotion to keep me hanging. i also don’t care for the plot so that’s not even helping me out rn

okay this book is for sure… hot. i wasn’t expecting a sex scene so quickly lmao and i’ve started to become bored?? the tension is gone and i’m left with no real chemistry yet?? if i keep not feeling any emotion (while reading a romance story) i’m going to lose interest very soon :/

also the politics,,, a little too idealized and unrealistic which takes me out of the world a bit

i’m still really enjoying this book!! the banter is good and it actually makes me laugh a little

my only issue is it being told in third person. i’m not used to ya love stories being told that way and so it throws me off

so far i’m really liking it :) it’s so lighthearted atm and that’s exactly what i was wanting

okay i get that these boys are high schoolers and a little naive but god their choices are frustrating

this story is tearing me to shreds. it’s so SAD but it’s also so SWEET. i just can’t stop reading it

i’m glad i finally finished the chapter about her time demining. while it was generally interesting, i didn’t need an in depth description of the entire process. in some places it went over my head or i just lost interest. right now, she’s talking about guilt and i’m invested in her story once again. so i’m having good feelings moving forward

so far i am loving this book ugh it’s already making me emotional i know i’m gonna be wrecked by the end of it

they fell in love in less than a day? yawn!

the most interesting part of this book is the random mini chapters about strangers and side characters other than that it’s quite BORING

i keep imagining this scenario happening in real life but it just wouldn’t. daniel’s eagerness to get natasha to fall in love with him in a day is kinda creepy not cute

mmmmm idk how i feel about this rn. the chemistry isn’t really there for me and i’m not a fan of “insta-love” but maybe it’ll turn out better than i’m expecting

so far i like it! although the last chapter with irene took a real dark turn

i’m slowly disconnecting from this book (was there ever really a connection though??? i’m unsure). this damn crow is annoying the hell out of me, if i have to read the word ‘caw’ one more time...

i’m considering dnf-ing this book but i also want to give it a fair chance so we’ll see

i’m over half way through this book and i still don’t even know what the central plot is. i’m getting tired of luna’s gma lying to her and luna not understanding that she can do magic. i also am not a fan of creatures being able to talk unless they’re in a cartoon or reading things in their pov
