a couple of books are doubled up in genre, bc they just fit in 2 categories and the categories were fairly distinct (i.e. YA or fiction). wasn't surprised to see fiction won, but surprised that nonfiction was as low as it was!

okay here are some stats for my 2018 reading:

women: 71 (or 59%)
WOC: 24 (or 20%)
POC: 36 (or 30%)

i defo wanted to read more WOC, but that got away from me during school, so that's entirely my fault. new years resolution will defo to be more planned and purposeful in reading more.
i did try to get more than half for women, so there we are! woohoo! 🎉

thing is i’m sick so i’m not feelin ROMANTIC IN THE SLIGHTEST but i wanted to finish this before the new year 🤷🏽‍♀️ oh well

this is so GOOD it’s kept me up, which no book has done in a decent while

yep. i already stan evelyn hard.
i don’t stan how the author glamorises being thin and how that’s the highest form of beauty, so we’ll see how that pans out. it’s already happened 3 times within 30 pages, so that’s given me a frowny face so far.

in between my vomit sessions i got to this and i am very much enjoying her!

EVERY TIME i try and finish this something happens.
a) my dog gets mauled and she needs surgery
b) i get GASTRO AND VOMIT 9 TIMES IN 4 HOURS
c) I NOW HAVE A COLD.

on a desperate scramble to decrease my currently reading, whilst also wanting to read all my new christmas books... but i’m down from 39 and into the single digits so there is some cause for celebration!

this is everything 14 year old me wanted. and if i play my cards right, will get with the drummer of greta van fleet 🤤🤤🤤🤤

little to no motivation to read this. first 100 pages good, after that biiiig lag. shame, because it started so strongly.
