Great compendium of articles and essays. "Stick-in-the-mud Science" is probably my favourite so far!

Finally reading this ubiquitous sensation. So far (5 chapters in), it has some good points but I think everyone must remember that you can't learn sincerity from a book. The book has some valuable guideposts, but the secret to sincerely putting its points into practice lies in getting past yourself and actually caring about others.

A very well-organized book! I'm lucky to have read the bulk of this book just prior to being in a MDM Governance Framework training here at here.

Finally, the end is within sight! You have been a true test for me, Catch-22, but also a good reminder of how important it is to stretch our tastes beyond their default comforts.

This bonkers book is really testing my endurance. More and more, I'm finding it difficult to cope with satire and slapstick for more than a small stint within a greater book that aligns more with realism. I have perhaps laughed once in the midst of these 240 trying pages, despite this novel being touted as one of the funniest books ever written. I can't wait to get through this thing.

I really hope the whole book isn't the same as the first 100pp, but I fear it may be so. Not sure how much tolerance I have for the insane ramblings and slapstick humour and constant random missions and expositions. The themes of the book have already been firmly established; where will we go from here?

Why is it taking me so long I read a 209-page book? Because Woolf has pulled off the effort of deftly crafting every single sentence to pack in rich substance. Every paragraph is like a Thanksgiving dinner for the mind. Even here at the end, I am reading things that cause me to lower the book a moment, stare off into the distance, and allow the conveyance to settle in. This is a very important book for humanity.

Ahhhh, OK, I'm starting to get into this now--and even enjoy it! The first 25pp were a bit strange; but the next 25 were rich and rewarding. Now that I'm getting the flow of Woolf's prose, I'm witnessing some of the greatest depictions of the human psyche from a handful of fairly diverse perspectives.

What a superb ending to the novel proper (I still have the epilogue to read)! O, how many fell victim in their own way, in the wake of Raskolnikov's act. Sonya, the scene in the Petersburg square, and the final, climactic utterance beautifully close this great work of the Russian Golden era of literature.
