Good stuff so far. Some decent moments but mostly just some good build up that feels worth reading.

Man, he's really hammering on monotheistic religion. I see where he's coming from but I think he's missing the point that culture defines the majority of people's moral compass. If Humanism is the dominant religion in our current culture, it informs the open minded Christian as much as the Atheist.

Still waiting for this to pick up but I expect the setup to be slow in this subgenre. Still intrigued.

Didn't expect this to be a cautionary prophecy about humanism. I like.

The writing feels 100% Sanderson already. There are still a few nods to Jordan's style here and there but it's a breath of fresh air, really.

This is starting out exactly how I'd expect a cyberpunk neon 80s movie to start but it has an added level of self awareness of how ridiculous the whole setting is. Did not expect to laugh this much already.

Finally a book worth reading again. Cant imagine the 10 years people had to wait between this and the last book i enjoyed in the series.

I think I dislike Elayne. Jordan has a hard time making petulent and brooding characters still likeable. It's why I hated Mat in the early books but at least he had an excuse then with that dagger. Birgitte is the best thing about her.

The rest of the book so far has been a major improvement over the last 3.

I see your strategy Robert. Lull me into a state of low expectations for three books straight so that when anything happens I'm super excited about it. Good start so far.

Finally a chapter with a significant development for the main characters. Super weird but kind of entertaining as well. Still screams male fantasy though the female perspectives through multiple bonds is undoubtedly intriguing in this case.
