They would seriously let their two teenage kids sleep in a hidden room together by themselves in a bookstore????? She just met the guy, no thank you.

I’m actually getting really pissed off at the love interest, because who gives him the right to film someone reuniting with their dad after 9 years and zooms in to film them bawling

Seriously half the people in high school nowadays are “geeks” and like pop culture and artists, I’m tired of these tired tropes 🙄 second time this year I’ve read something where the kid gets bullied for liking stranger things and art stuff like… what???? Everyone knows or likes it tf. Including current slang and movies doesn’t make your high school story modern, not when you keep outdated cliches

I love this book! Just don’t think it’s as good as Instant Karma :/ I think maybe it needed another pass & some extra meat on its bones? The whole Ari/Jude was spoiled for me from the synopsis but even then it feels underdeveloped, especially Ari. I feel like we don’t know much about her as a person aside from her interests, which is a bummer because she’s the first Hispanic MM character & I was rlly excited
