Aviva is so rude to Holly’s family

She hasn’t experienced anything Christmas-y yet and has already decided that she prefers it over Hanukkah 💀 I can’t tell what her goal is — learn about Hanukkah or Christmas?? Both?? Then why claim it’s one and then flip flop to the other?

Also the fact that there’s no talk of the religions behind these holidays (aka their purposes) is weird, but I can see why it’s not included

Everything feels very on the nose so far. I don’t know if it’s a result of it being a middle grade so people assume you have to write more plainly, or if it’s because they really wanted to make sure you know what the message of the story is, idk
