Okay, so it seems that the second book is parallel to the first, following a different set of characters...

Book one finished.

I tend to not read collections not only in case I don't like the book, but also because it means I get only one book read for my yearly challenge and it's harder to imagine my actual progress, but this one had a major price difference, so I gave in. Hopefully, it'll motivate me to read faster.
