This book is too fuckin long. Entertaining, but too long. The heroine is annoying me. She whispers constantly and always lets the hero talk over her. Ugh!!!!

Holy shit the heroine is so unprofessional and her lovesick puppy thing is maddening.

One thing I’m picking up from Kristen Ashley books is that her heroes are always somehow right, always knows the heroines better than they know themselves, and always take up a lot of fucking SPACE. The women never get a word in otherwise and they’re always told they’re wrong.

I don’t understand. This book wasn’t written THAT long ago—surely the authors know that this whole preamble is written like the biggest sexual harassment lawsuit in the making ever? I’m so frustrated I have to abandon this book immediately for now.

Only 6% in and I’m already super frustrated. The books in this series are so uneven. I’m super unhappy this is another boss/intern story—one in a series should be enough, eh? And I accept that there’s a certain level of fantasy baked into the romance genre, but this is *absurdly* fantastical in a way that irks me.
