In the same way I enjoyed Hillbilly Elegy 's honest memoir infused with self-aware position to educate, Klebold's memoir is unflinching and never naive or self-serving. Yet my heart longs to be finished.

Life hack: don't start reading a book in the middle of a grocery store because you will fall in love and have too much to read as it is.

Easily one of my favorite memoirs to date. Please do yourself a favor and pick this up.

I love how Vance infuses his story with sociological research and genuine, deep analysis of the factors that have influenced his, and his family's situation. A very exciting memoir.

Reading this for a class. I can see how this would be great onstage but it does not read well at all in the script form.

That chapter just ripped my heart heart out. This reminds me a lot of The Autumn Balloon except less trauma and more sociological interest.

I'm liking this overall! As with all collections, some stories are better than others, but Berlin has a great style and voice.

I'm crying right now at this DIA conspiracy theory like I feel so blessed and also so attacked. Real life though, I'm getting more into this story but less and less into the format.
