Wilson does a great job of writing but still the book remains painful at times. Not sure how I will rate it.

A lovely find. Tor sent it out as a top novella in 2013 and just a great story. Certainly worth the time to read and get a different look at tales told late at night, both myth and truth.

finally got a chance to start again. Her entire series is great and this is the last one she penned in the great story of Rome. the author; McCullough originally decided to end the series with The October Horse because in her opinion the ultimate fall of the Roman Republic took place after the Battle of Philippi, She did writ this one due to fan requests, including Aussie politicians.

First book in the series. Great stuff and will read them all.

Get's better in second half

interesting tale

Some repetition, but some good nuggets at well. He does a good job of exploring the mythos
