John is reading The Disaster Artist: My Life Inside The Room, the Greatest Bad Movie Ever Made
Stranger than fiction. If you haven’t seen “The Room” (not “Room”), check out YouTube for the best bad movie of all time.

The audiobook is read by Greg Sestero and his Tommy imitations are hilarious.

Looking forward to seeing “The Disaster Artist” in theaters.

This book makes some extraordinary claims without any studies or evidence. It's as if I told you that you are depressed because your invisible rainbow unicorn is trapped in a dust cloud and you need to roll up five dollar bills, smoke them, and blow smoke rings in the corner of your basement in order to free it.

I would have abandoned this book by now if it weren't a gift. Now I'm determined to finish it though it's sooooo sloooow. I broke down and bought the Kindle/Audible version so I can listen to it. Otherwise this may be on my nightstand a year. Still hoping for a mystery.

Book cover looks amateur. Photos don't match descriptions of characters in the book. I blame the indie publisher.

Also wouldn't have prominently featured author's name at the top if she's written only three books. Isn't that reserved for famous authors whose name alone can sell a book? Or is this common practice now?

The author must *really* like needle point. Her descriptions are very thorough. I guess she's describing actual needle points she has seen rather than making them up from her head. Nevertheless, I'm not very riveted by the many descriptions of needle points.

Was given as a gift from a Hungarian student. She said I would learn some history of her country. This is true. I knew nothing about the Soviet occupation of Hungary.

Book tells two alternating stories: "present day" 1980s in Chicago suburbs and 1950s in Budapest, Hungary.

Halfway through. Still no mystery.
