If a woman who is beautiful but has no other redeeming value turns tricks until she is ancient, no one gives a second thought. But Kazue's turn to prostitution left everyone racking their brains to figure out why. A career woman by day, a prostitute by night. Men everywhere were beside themselves trying to work that one out.
I love this insight, observation, and subtle snark. I'm loving this book so far. :D

Joffrey is such an evil little brat. The actor on the show played him really well.

The first love scene between Drogo and Dany is such a sweet, tender, and loving scene. I actually went "awe...:D". It's been a long time since I did that. I wish the show replicated that scene better.

I'm thinking of doing an epic (re)read of the Harry Potter series, is anyone interested in doing that as a buddy read? Honestly the more the better, imo. :)

DNF. This book is poorly researched and over-simplifies everything. Reading some reviews on here told me to stop wasting my time. Also I'm convinced this is satire but not well done or particularly funny. Actually it's grating.

I really am iffy about how they define demons as basically any spirit including ancient deities. Like even from a folklore aspect that is erroneous let's see how this book pans out. Maybe it's only the introduction.

This book is really dragging. I know we have to build up the world and characters but my brain ain't having tonight. Not the book's fault.

So there is a reason why the bully is getting really, REALLY bad with her insults, because that was a really below the belt remark and it seems a lot more than bullying. It makes me wonder where this is going to go.

DNF. Nope. This book is not for me. I hate the writing, I hate the characters. And for those reasons I hate the plot. Bye.

The MC is an idiot, but I love how shady the author is when it comes to the narration (third person).

Happy Holidays. My plan over the next two days is to finish season 3 of x-files and maybe watch some season 1 of Dexter, because one of my gifts is that boxset. >:D I'm excited to get into this show more.
