What more to say? It's not like there were plot twists to note :-) But this was a pretty enjoyable collection of pun-ny puzzles. I'd have to admit I got very few of them completely done because there always seemed to be one small spot in the puzzle with ancient god names or athletes' or actors' names that I didn't know, but if I were into 'cheating' I could easily have looked those up (I think!).

Working on the last puzzle! Started this puzzle book end of 2016, so about 2.33 years ago :) Should be finished within a few more days. I continue to be happy with the originality and creativeness of the themes!

He and his family have had to dodge so much senseless violence. Close calls from random shooting in the streets and at their mosques.

The 'Big Read' selection for this spring, i.e. no restriction on # of checkouts to encourage a lot of people to read it at the same time. Going to try that this time, at least a quick reading of it. Already in chapter 1 he's survived a car bomb and the family has helped somebody badly injured by it to get to the hospital, plus Bakr has also found a person's jaw bone left behind and given it a burial.

Not _sure_ what to think about this one, even yet. Some very interesting theories for sure.

More solid ideas. Not every one is a gem, but many of them find me nodding in agreement.

Just finished part 1, ending with 'tres talk' about how expected talk is in France. The section ends with a story of beggars using cans dangling from fishing poles and concludes this way.

"The beggars had missed the essential point: nobody gets anything in France by keeping his mouth shut."
