Nothing like a power outage and a lack of want-to-read books on hand to make you pick up an unfinished read, lol. I still have most of the same complaints as before, but at least now I'm nearing the end. I guess we'll see if Maas gives it an ending that will make readers want to jump give novel #2 a chance.

Had to return it to the library... will continue once retrieved again. So far I can't say Paris managed to create a real emotional bond between the characters and the reader.. though she does succeed at creating a sense of foreboding so far. Too bad I had to return it right when the untold knowledge was confirmed.
