Only 2% in, and the narrator is... not enjoyable to listen to. He is, in fact, so distractingly bad as to be detracting from the story. Time to put this back on the shelf until I can read it myself.

Dear Ms. Dean,
When writing a story with legal issues as a major plot point, please do some research into how the laws actually work.
What you have written is not how inheritance or zoning laws work, and having all of your characters, including an attorney, oblivious to this fact is unacceptable — even for fiction.

I’m desperate to be done with this as I just don’t like it.

I really wish audiobook producers would stop adding music to their productions.
