I must express that I am sad not to be following the Mortymers anymore. Their tragic story was one I wished to read more of.

This book is both heart-warming and heart-wrenching. I would love to read the same story but from Ma's point of view also. I can imagine it would be a darker experience.

It's a fascinating concept, how Jack and Ma are now out of Room and how poor Jack has to learn all these new things and how his concept of the outside world makes him want I be back in Room.

"After nap we do Scream every day but not Saturdays or Sundays. We clear our throats and climb up on Table to be nearer Skyligjt, holding hands not to fall. What a horrifying thought. The fact that Jack is five years old makes me wonder how long Ma has actually been with Old Nick?
