There are times I wish this story told itself in a simpler manner. Sometimes I get so bogged down in the details, I have to skim back to quickly remind myself what is going on. Regardless, this remains a magnificent series.

There is no point pretending I'm not loving this upon reread. It is what it is. And it's very good, regardless of the hate or even the valid reasons it's hated for. I enjoy it. Simple.

Maybe I'm going crazy, it's the lockdown. I know this book is trash but I was desperate for something pulpy and silly and I'm almost ASHAMED how much I'm enjoying myself.

It's hit a slow patch, but I'm actually enjoying all the scheming and character development.

I'm continuing my infrequent reread of one of my all time favourite series, something I am so familiar with I can leave it for ages, come back to it at any point in the story, and still be captivated and up to date with events. The audiobook is brilliant.

This is a really promising story. I'm liking the atmosphere, the characters are well presented, the narrative set up is, whilst familiar, intriguing.

I like surprises. This could be another winner for me.

I am really loving this book, and feel the character development is strong in this one. You really sense how much these characters have grown, and are growing. I love Nynaeve. Her stubborness hides a lot of insecurity and fear, and her chapters are some of my favourites.

This is a book I've been meaning to read for ages. Self published, with an interesting premise. The writing is very good, and the atmosphere reminds me a lot of Robin Hobb when she wrote Harpy's Flight. Strong start, it's very vividly written and I feel like I'm sinking into the story with ease.

So, I am a big fan of Throne Of Glass. It's cheesy, it's very teen-oriented, it has its flaws: I don't care I love it. As for this? I'm liking it, it definitely gets better as it goes along.

Sarah J. Maas is the only author I love who comes close to being labelled "guilty pleasure". Only I don't feel guilty. It's popcorn pleasure, like a Marvel movie.

I like to shake things up in my reading sometimes. I love adult fantasy, but I also really love children's adventure stories. This book immediately reminded me of classics like Susan Cooper's "The Dark Is Rising" sequence, and Harry Potter. Throw in some Narnia and a dash of Doctor Who, and you have the makings of a classic. Gobsmacked this is self published, this ought to be a middle grade bestseller! For adults too

After four books, I now feel completely immersed in this world, these characters are becoming more and more real to me, and I'm finding myself desperate to learn more and see more. This series rewards patience.

And I ship Avhienda and Rand.

I can't believe I nearly DNF'd this book. After what felt like a slow start, it's erupted into an absolutely breathtaking epic.

At last, I care about this world fully, and the characters!

After a fairly slow start, which honest to god was a real struggle to get through after three epic volumes and all the current Coronavirus fear affecting my mood, Shadow Rising transforms into a wonderful, sprawling work of true greatness. I'm being helped, in part, by the audiobook, which helps settle me into the moment.

Wheel Of Time, I'm not giving up on you!

Whilst I greatly enjoyed the fairly easy reading series opener Eye Of The World, book two is proving to be so much more intriguing and absorbing. No longer does this feel reliant on basic tropes, and more does it feel like a grand, fully realised adventure set in a world distinctly its own.

Dare I say it, I think I LOVE this book, slow moving first quarter and all.
