Took a little break, but came back to it today, and really enjoyed it

I am a couple of weeks behind my schedule for this book, but a break was needed. A strong book, even if it feels at times somewhat aimless. I'm sure it's all part of a much bigger plan!

I was not expecting to enjoy this book as much as I am! It has familiar tropes, but wonderful elements (such as the setting, and the Eastern European touches to the worldbuilding) keep it interesting. I think I like this a lot more than the first installment of Throne Of Glass. Wow. I love fantasy, so far I've done pretty well trying out YA reads.

I am in the middle of a major reading slump. Decided a YA would do, and you know what? I'm loving this so far! Nicely written, with a very unique flavour and an intriguing premise.

It's like an Irish Sarah J. Maas.

If it stays good, I am going to enjoy this. Easy breezy fun

I promised myself to take a break after Lord Of Chaos. I told myself to enjoy other books. I told myself I can do this, and it will be fine...

...well I have to admit I could not leave it alone, not even for a few hours!

Fucking hell, I love this series so much (even though it's exhausting).

I desperately needed something different to quest fantasy. Let me throw in a horror, with a touch of fantasy for good measure, instead!

Gosh I am enjoying this, I swear. But it feels longer than it actually is. And it's already a very, very long book.

Still, it's great to see Perrin and Rand together again.

After a bit of a slump in the middle, this book just hits another stride and every single chapter is gagging me!

"Tell her I've healed Logain."

And just like that, I'm enthralled again. I'm definitely loving this book the most, even with the pacing issues.

This is an outstanding, old fashioned (but not dated) feeling fantasy story. I'm really enthralled in it. It's emotional, mystical and feels grounded in reality with strongly written characters, riveting scenes of tension, and beautiful writing. The author also keeps the story moving quickly, which is oddly refreshing (it's something I feel a lot of authors these days could improve on).

So much is happening, but not everything right now seems to be "exciting". It's still very involving, but I've read so much in just over a week, I think I can be forgiven for getting a little muddled 😂

It's hit the inevitable slow patch every book seems to have. It's not boring, just a little harder to race through than the first two hundred pages were.

Lots of talk. So much goes over my head, but oh well, I'm loving it.

I can't get enough of this. Started it yesterday morning, already a hefty way into it. I don't care anymore about whether or not this or that book/character/event is good or bad. I'm loving this so much, I only care about what happens next!

Couldn't quite bring myself to finish it today, but I have less than 100 pages left, and I'm loving it.

I don't feel the need to rush, I still have plenty left to read.

I really, really have been loving this book, in fact it's probably my favourite yet. So why have I taken so long reading it? Because it's so long and dense, if I didn't take breaks, I think I could grow to resent it.

Wheel Of Time comes highly recommended by me, but I won't deny it's a challenging read at times. Still, I should have it finished by the weekend, maybe even tomorrow if I don't do anything else.

It's not a long book. It's easy to read.

It's also, erm, not that good. I will finish this eventually, I have less than 90 pages but I also couldn't care less. As someone who loved Throne Of Glass, this is disappointing.

The last time I tried reading this book, I DNF'd it and called it abominable.

Oddly, like the first book, coming too it again, it's not close to being as poor as I first regarded it. I'm not saying this is masterful writing, or fantasy at its best, but I'm also not calling it a guilty pleasure. In fact, I'm admitting it: I sorta love it 😂🙈
