I feel bad neglecting Wheel Of Time ... Oops

I can't remember what attracted me to this book, but I won't lie, it's growing on me with every page. Dare I say it...but...I think it's love 😂

The character development of Egwene from the start of the series to this point is exceptional, and until now, I had not really given it much thought.

I can't get enough of this book, I knew the "slump" would not impact my enthusiasm for this series (it just dragged a little, nothing more).

Ok so I was going to stop but then I didn't. Shhhh

I can say that I really love reading Elayne's chapters, I enjoy observing her mood swings whilst pregnant, and I have never had a problem with her (unlike some fans). My only issue is, her struggles to gain the crown, the politics of it all, have not been as interesting to read. Still, these discussions aren't dragging as much as they did in previous volumes.

My aim was to reach 50% today, but my eyes sting from so much focused reading.

Knife Of Dreams is a delicious return to form. Potentially a top five book in this series (so far). Not bad for an eleventh installment!

Robert Jordan really truly blew all my expectations out of the water! After three slower paced books, this one is just nonstop action and surprise after surprise!

Mat and Tuon fighting in that street battle was a big shock to me, I'm not used to this sort of action in Jordan's work. Then the horror imagery: villages sinking, men vomiting beetles and being eaten from the inside, ghostly visions...JORDAN WENT HARD

Unlike it's predecessor, I am struggling to put this one down!

Ok this book is impossible to put down. So glad to be back in love with it!

The second half, especially the scenes involving Egwene, is much more interesting than the first half of this book!

Could this become my all time favourite book?

Masterpiece

I just want to say that after plodding through some rather...challenging reads, Dragon Mage has really, truly hit me hard.

I long to feel this way about a book every single time I pick one up, but rarely do. I've been moved to tears a few times already and I never cry at anything.

ML Spencer deserves all the success in the universe with this book, I can't praise it highly enough. I'm not even finished.

I haven't loved a book THIS much, with what feels like my entire being, for a fair while.

This is already an all time favourite book for me.

Finally entering the final stretch of this book. I'm enjoying the Egwene chapters.

This book is a month old, but already feels timeless. I can't put it down.

I did not need to be reading any more books right now.

However, I'm 10% into this and it's providing me with exactly what I need from fantasy, and it feels really vibrant and new, even with some classic tropes on display.

I started this ages ago...forgot about it, resumed it today, and was pleased to be back in this story. Lovely, light fantasy read.
