This is a strange book. I put it down for weeks, having tired of it. Now as I resume it, ive gone from contemplating DNFing it to thinking it's one of the most quietly powerful, painfully poignant examination of what grief can do to a man (notably, losing a child to cancer), and what it feels to lose everything, including hope.
King is a master writer, but his dramatic works are just as haunting as his horror.
