The storyline basically feels like a chosen one in a way, but not entirely. Reminiscent of old Greek gods, like the Titans vs the Pantheon in some aspects, but not entirely sure

Atmospheric is one word to describe it at the moment. The author has put in so much topics as obvious racism based on colour, the controlling nature of medieval church doctrines, along with witches. Kind of biblical settings too.

If the first two books had gritty stuff set in space, this one hits a lil close to home, with enough heartache to make u wanna cry

MAJOR MAJOR TRIGGER WARNINGS FOR VIOLENCE ON CHILDREN, and its not the mild kind. The two main detectives are too cocky for my liking, with a devil may care attitude and an ego to match. The crime itself is sickening. Violence against children of any sort was not and never will be my cup of tea, and here two mentally deranged individuals are just jollyriding through it. Not a pretty picture.

First off.. major trigger warnings for body gore and that too of children. Its basically uncovering violence on children, and it is not a pretty picture by far. Though I am sensing personal life complications, as the book is said as the detective’s perspective. For once, I am glad about that. Coz I certainly would not want the culprit’s perspective on this.

Coz i am disgusted. Its one thing to turn a blind eye at teenagers cuddling at various places. But an entirely different thing to overlook murder for the sake of money.
Though it hadnt exactly started that way, but... yeesh... that was just ...
aargh lost for words

3 stars on this one.
After midnighr by Rhys Bowen has two Cinderella stories
The conventional one told differently through another angle, not the entire story but the part after the ball.
The second one, did not remind me of a cinderella story at all. I donno why it was termed Cinderella now. Because the man she waits for, is not the prince definitely.

OMG!!! The story scared the living daylights out of me.
Beth and Robert are what you could call a handsome couple. And when Robert is given tickets to a classical music concert from his firm, the duo goes, but Robert returns changed. He is constantly humming, and has a glazed look. And then, he kills his neighbours.
Music that can kill , anyone?? Yea. It was creepy!!
