I just found out who sent the truly devious letter and I'm disappointed. Not because of the who but because of the why. Hopefully the mystery of the kidnapping and murders from the 1930s and the current murder and disappearance have a more interesting outcome.

My reaction at that part was, "Really? That's your reason for creating the letter?"

This story has gotten so convoluted that I feel like if she had died instead, it would have been a lot more interesting and more believable. Book 1 and 2 were so good, I don't know how the story got so boring and ridiculous. It's not even the funny ridiculous.

I'm probably going to rate this 2.5 or 3 stars. This series went from 5 stars to this. It's actually really sad how such a great series went downhill.

This book is so boring so far. The first started out interesting. All that happened so far in this one is Pip's ptsd and illegally getting Xanax because she can't even be bothered to try to deal with her trauma without them. I understand she's been through a lot in the last book and that showing trauma in books is important but this series was supposed to be fun, not realistic and boring.

This book is harder to get into than the previous 2 were. With those two I was immediately hooked. This one however starts with Pippa and her lawyer having a meeting with Max and his lawyer about some of the events that happened in book 2 and I just wanted to skip that part get to the next chapter, which I am on now.
