This is a really emotional read for me. There are too many ways to identify with the author and the people in his life. He is a writer (like me), who lost both his parents relatively young (like me), and is in a long-term, same-sex relationship (like me) with a photographer (like Jay), who is also interested in various visual arts and interior design (like Jay).
