"My girl
always talks about herself
like she's a graveyard,
a place for other people to come and bury what they've lost.
As much as I want to tell her that she's wrong,
I still find myself crouching in her earth
with flowers I've brought for someone else."
This fits a lot of NA books I know.🙃

"No." She said it lightly, still kissing him.
He pushed the fly button out of its hole and pulled down the zipper. Daphne jumped back, zipped up and buttoned.
"Whats wrong?" Legitimate confusion paraded across Brandon's face.
Daphne didn't need to explain the meaning of the word No to someone who spoke English."
"he finally realized that no meant the opposite of yes and gave up."
no means no

Can someone write a pirate book based on Ching Shih? I WILL READ IT thank you.
I mean Asian, Badaas, Lady Pirate who was the most successful pirate ever? WHAT DON'T I KNOW THIS. When you tell me, pirates, I immediately go to Johny deep. I am ashamed.

"There is something about a woman who can twist a man's head off in the heat of a battle that inspired everyone to remark loudly and frequently about her beauty and grace."
IF THIS ISN'T ACCURATE FOR EVERY FANTASY WITH A FEMALE LEAD, I don't know what it is.

This is not serious at all just putting that out there, so you don't get dissapointed if you were expecting well searched and deep historically accurate stuff.
I am taking this more as a humor book that came to be a bit informative.

"There will be no more mentions of Donald Trump in this book, because, frankly, I can't be bothered. So just forget he exists for a while. It will be like a nice little vacation. His tweets can't find you here. Unless you are reading this on an iPad. In which case, you can't be helped."

"When you hear a story of a woman who lived her life that was 100 percent pure and good, you're probably missing the best bits. The nasty bits."
Me:
hmm interesting.
"Maybe she got her tits out. Maybe she slept around. Maybe she stole. Maybe she betrayed someone, or maybe she was betrayed. Maybe she was pure and good but made a few mistakes..."
Me:
YEAH I NEED THIS.

I am trying to organize my shelves. So I was wondering which type of shelves you usually click on/ are interested in, in others people's profiles.
For example, I will always go to shelves like favorite books, tear-jerking ones, new adult.

I would recommend this to people who love the foxhole court books. It has somewhat of a similar feeling, although better writing for sure.
By giving this recommendation you can already deduce how I am feeling about this.💔

Have you ever felt secretly happy about the death of a well-loved character?
