I say this as someone who didn't vote for SJM in the YA fantasy category.

After reading an omnibus or short story collection I go to the author's page and check off the individual story too.

Does anybody else do this?

How this narrator voices Lila is fucking everything to me. Y'all. His old school London voice is perfect.

Robot voice: Soul crushing eminent. Prepare tissues for my issues.

Thoughts so far:
-Opening chapter was nice and creepy
-Best opening line for a chapter 2 in the history of ever
-I'm getting bored with the dialogue and small town tropes of the characters we got introduced to in chapter 2

Man after that scene I won't be surprised to see how Pine Cottage ends. That said... I'm excited to see how the author handles it!

I'm really enjoying this audiobook!

My currently reading shelf is full of audiobooks that I started and am waiting to rent again from the library. I feel so cluttered because of it. 😩😩
