Haven't had much time to read lately -- but really enjoying this.

Butler's Bloodchild is expectedly the highlight here-- mainly the reason I bought this to begin with.

Standouts so far: The Picture Man by John Dalmas, Salvador by Lucius Shepherd.

Volume 1 finished-- gonna read other things in between!

Nearly done with the first third-- this year has been too stressful and full of fascist horrors to fully concentrate on reading regularly.

Almost done with the first volume -- gonna stagger it out with other books in between each. It's good, but I don't think I can marathon the whole thing in one go.

Probably gonna read this in chunks-- perhaps reading shorter books in between each 'volume'. It's good, but it's gonna be a loooonnng one.

I have never read this but have always wanted to.

The ferocity and anger of SF writing from this era is something that needs to come back.

It's compelling enough so far, but it gets lost in its own tedium a lot-- withholding information for hundreds of pages, well past the initial suspense wears off. It's not bad, but I don't quite buy the acclaim and hype it has received. At least not yet.
