The dialogue is so bland and boring, I don't care about a single character and, on top of everything else, THE ENTIRE PREMISE IS STUPID. "Oh, you killed my bestie's bestie? Guess as punishment I'll have no choice but to whisk you away from your miserable life to a magic mansion where you'll get tons of food and can do whatever tf you want" I mean???

very curious how she's going to "redeem" Nesta & Elain (since I know where they end up); so far, Nesta seems like a superficial, condescending b***h and Elain... has left no impression whatsoever. I guess Nesta just gets some weapons because /badass female character/ or sth

this... is not what I thought it would be (should have read the blurp, probably) And even though I am only at the very beginning, I am already confused by the approach taken in this book. For someone claiming to *finally* bring some proper science into the debate, there sure is a lack of references to scientific data and a lot of anecdotal evidence and autobiographical rambling instead.

surprisingly more entertaining than I thought it would be, but it is *so* unbelievably obvious who the big bad baddie is from the very beginning, c'mon. sjm's form of subtlety is like a hammer straight to the forehead.
