Author really loves Angela Carter; I keep seeing her used as examples in various chapters as I've been jumping around a lot from the start.

I get it, Kinbote is an utterly mad, "King" of the unreliable narrators. I thought Nabokov had given me another Humphrey-esque narrator but this character makes the Hatter look quite sane. There were hints initially about his contradictions but he's gone completely off the rails already. Lots of fun on the horizon await me with King Kibote.

In the middle of Canto 1 commentary.
