this is probably bias of my personal experience but i think that the drama did a really good job of heightening the emotion around these scenes of the wens taking over lotus pier. one of the things i notice w the novel is that things important to the story are brought up very shortly before they become relevant. i think that the structure of the drama starts off confusing and messy but pays off 10-15 episodes in.
