Just finished the first half of this book which traces the history of science from the ancient Greeks through the major revolution in the times of Copernicus, Kepler, Galileo, and Newton. So far it'sbeen fascinating. It definitely clears up some popuilar misconceptions about Galileo's trial and the controversy surrounding it.
