a book that begins with a nickelback epigraph...hhmmm..

i sort of kind of hate when books espouse their theories about processed food under the guise of "i'm one of you, really, i like doritos, but they'll probably kill me later" type dialogue

"As George often said, he couldn't care less for filthy lucre." - and now i'm firmly entrenched in DH Lawrence's "The Rocking-Horse Winner" wondering when paul will show up to place a bet with bassett.

ok, so i know i said i'd never read another unger. but i lied!

this is the davincicode meets thebourneidentity meets a retired georgian jack ryan who now owns a bookstore. or something.

i'm wary. but there was a funny scene in starbucks, so i'll tough it out a bit longer.

i keep waiting for one of these cranky irish broads to not be an asshole.

if i can find where i put this book, i'll finish it soon.

what is it with me and books with ridiculous premises? i'm going to write a literary piece entitled "broken premises" about how convoluted and awful chick lit has become.

mostly like the movie in plot thus far

if the first one was a "can't put down", this one is a "can't pick up"...blomkvist's constant sexual conquests, the pages devoted to berger relishing how good at sex blomkvist is, and salander's lesbian friend make me think this was written by someone who needed his ego and his libido charged. bleh.

is it bad that my motivation to read this book skyrocketed when i found out that johnny depp AND george clooney are rumored to be attached to the film version???

yeah, i'm reading another one of these one-star wonders. your point???
