Now it came full circle to Cinderella again. And the weird thing is, it works. So.show the author made this bonkers concept work and that is amazing.

Gotta admit this is not a cliche YA novel I was expecting. This is some great imagination that's running wild, and the author is not restrained by any tropes.

This book is so much of its own thing that when the Cinderella plot points are brought into the mix, it really doesn't fit. It feels really forced.

This story is surprisingly charming. I did not expect this.

Experiments on cyborg low class citizens. An epidemic. A crazy witch ruling a kingdom on the moon. This might call itself a Cinderella re imaging but its very far from that concept entirely.

I have a lot of questions about this world. A lot of hows and whys are running thru my head in the last 50 pages. But I'm just going to go with the flow and hope it fills in the blanks along the way. Its pretty cartoony so far so I should look at it as such.

Cyberpunk Cinderella. Not sure to think about that but I'm in the mood for some YA right now so ill give it a go.

So that was some weird as hell body horror. And the main character seems to have brain damage bc he wants to dedicate a cult to this nightmare. The All Consuming is a real bizarre story.

So there has been this trend in science fiction lately where the future is a mix of technology and diverse cultures such as Brazilian, African, Indian and what not. I don't know what this genre is but I have been loving it. These futures are such gorgeous landscapes to have an adventure in.

The bad guy is taken out by random quick sand. I have seen anything like that since cartoon s I watched as a kid.

So all the fun spy stuff happens in the last quarter. Its one of those kind of books. That's kinda disappointing but something is happening now.

I expected spies, shoot outs and Nazis when I started this. Instead of a campy espionage adventure, I'm getting a slow burn under cover agent infiltrating a cult. This book was really a bait and switch.

But this point in the last book Kim wad knee deep in a Nazis and nearly died at one point. Little has happened in this novel. Sure. There's a murder mystery but Kim hasn't done anything exciting.

Are all the bad guys going to fall in love with her as she's undercover? Sure. It's tense and all. But the its happened in two books now. It won't continue to be exciting if u don't all the time.

Spooky old castle. Crazy old people. Strange noises in the night. Kinda of like this pseudo scary story vibe they're nailing right now.

The first book was slow but was more of an origin story. This book is just as slow for no reason. Which is a shame. Though its a fun read, so far this series is just not living up to its full potential.

A murder already. That's fun.

Spies with superpowers fighting Nazis. I need something dumb like this right now.

Funny how thus is called Jade War and this book is about everything but war.

All these sad tormented relationships in this book. They so heart breaking but so well written.
