I did not realize I was so far into this book. This story is moving fast following supernatural family drama with a side of a spooky curse more than the typical murder mystery.

Charity is a witch!?!? OMG that's a real twist. She's been nothing but a house wife and a bully thru the whole series. Is she ashamed of being one? Has she been over compensating for her witchiness by being super Christian and apple pie 24/7. This is such an out of nowhere twist.

Loving the theme of this one with the campy horror movie monsters stumbling out of the silver screen. And this action scene is so good! But also so long! Can't stay up to finish. Will have to finish it up tomorrow. I'm sure Harry and Thomas will be fine until I return. Lol.

Crane just murdered a sweet innocent dog. Time to start wishing and hoping that he will die in some terrible horrible way.

Wow. Can't stay in a hotel room and perform a spell without a bunch of family members, friends & different people knocking on the door breaking concentration. I always love how situations in these books can be so out there yet real world at the same time.

Wow. Thomas is essentially being written out to some degree. His story arc was barely even explored. And after sharing very little time doing anything meaningful in the last two books he's just moving away. Such a shame. I wanted to like Thomas but it seems like the author didn't know what to do with him. He provided a good twist in an earlier novel but just been an awkward cast member since.

I know this far into the series Harry has a lot more baggage than the early books. But in the early books Harry was such a dork. The one liners were terrible. He was clumsy. He escaped a lot of situations from luck bc his skills were awful. Now he's serious weighed down with guilt, cursed, becoming super powerful magic wise and is the exclusive member of his own pity party. I kinda wish he was a dork again.

OMG! Movie monsters are walking out of films to murder people. Is that the plot of this book? If so, love it! It is pure campy fun I just love.

The world is at stake and Harry is stuck babysitting an annoying teenager during all of it. Now this is quirky dumb fun I sign up for with this books.

This series is really trying to do the "will they won't they" with Harry and Murphy isn't it? I'm still not into it. It just doesn't seem right. Their friendship is amazing. I can't picture the two together any other way. I know after the whole Susan arc he should move on but this isn't working. I kinda wish they would introduce a new girl for Harry to fall in love with instead.

Very indecisive. And instead reading some more deep thought provoking sci-fi I decided to fall back onto the comfort reads of the Dressing Files. And the story begins immediately with vivid child murder. Yikes. Usually these begin with something like Harry saving a puppy from a fire or fighting a ghost. I was not prepared for such a dark beginning.

This book has jumped the shark into pure lunacy! I kinda want to applaud it for swinging for the fences. But at the same time this is such mess, that I can't bring myself to really like it much at all. Its like Bones of the Earth all over again. Its tries to do way too much and is losing me in the process.

OMG! I'm giving this book all the chances in the world. Even started to really enjoy it despite its quirkiness But when it seemed to find its footing, it immediately jumps the shark! I dunno what to think about this. It has a lot of good ideas but its an absolute mess of a story. Its like a slow moving yet absolutely beautiful train wreck. There's good stuff here but its just drowning in everything that doesn't work.

Just shifted from techno thriller to an 80s/ nostalgia trip where cartoons and action figures are dreamed into existence. Interesting and all but ummm.... a lot of these companies like to sue when their copyrighted characters are used. I hope the author got everything squared away and was really safe like that ready player one author was.

I pretty sure the Spanish the nightmare was speaking is incorrect but that may be on purpose since he was a half formed dream. Speaking of which the story is really going to some interesting places. Just took a while took a while to get to all the fun stuff.

Had to look up tortoise shell cat after tonight's chapter. Never heard the term before. Apparently its a calico with very patchy markings. If nothing else, I guess I learned something new today. Lol.

Story seems to be back on track after a few very strange character decisions. But the formatting is really bugging me. The one space indent is a maddening bc its harder to keep track if where paragraphs end and begin. But now at the half way point the author is fully forgetting to indent at all in various places. Which makes following the story a little more confusing.

This place has the worst staff. The doctor takes guys home, and films them after sleeping with them unknowingly. On the first day of the job another employee cuddles up and sleeps with one of the patients and the staff thinks its funny?! What's going on here? I thought this place was suppose to be full of smart people. None of this is right or realistic.

This chapter is so weird. A brilliant doctor randomly tells this stranger his whole life story along with super secretive confidential information. Also he filmed this stranger while he was sleeping as well. I don't even know what to think. Its so weird.

I know this is weird. But the tech and setup is kinda of a shinier mirror image of STEM from Evil Within. This could be coincidence though. Separate artists are completely capable of having the same ideas sometimes.

A whole lot a telling and not much showing here. Not saying its bad. Its choice in storytelling and I'm sure the author has his reasons. But still, I wish it would did slow down and just would show so much more of the world.

Giving this a try. It sells itself like a Michael Crichton style sci-fi thriller. I'm not really getting that vibe yet. But its okay so far. Lets see where it goes

This story was way better than the last. But weird. Its written in 1990. And do u remember how in the early nineties action movies, the apocalypse like fall of America happened because civil unrest, riots, and street gangs? Yeah. This story takes place in that sort of future. Seems so silly now that it was a trope once.

She's been injected with a drug causing invulnerable but also contagious infertility. She's so angry at the mad scientist she going to get revenge by escaping and having sex with as many men as possible to spread it. Ummm....this is not teaching the doctor a lesson. This is trying to end the human race. Its pretty freaking stupid. One of the dumbest leading ladies ever.
