I don't like all the character POVs that essentially sound the same

The enjoyment was short-lived and evaporated the second Selin was separated from Ivan. It is back to struggling but I looked up Elif and her life adds much needed context. She stopped dating men at 38 and realized she only felt compelled to do so according to society.

Biggest plot twist is me low-key enjoying this now, only took me getting halfway through 😃😃😃 love that 😃 this is now a literary the office, just get past the first season and it's SOOO good

Another reason this book does not connect with me is I have never suffered from the low self esteem necessary to view Selin as relatable. However it helps that she's 18, I thought she was twenty-something. This will be my last hate read of the year, I cannot do this to myself again 😭 I just want to say I truly tried smh

This book reminds me of whoever said I don't like all women. Some of you are dumb. And unfortunately that will always be true

If I would just allow myself the unjustified dislike of things I wouldn't be here pushing through this 😭 I think this book is for anyone who liked the show girls and I am not said anyone

Finally mustered the energy to read some more. With raw determination I can get through this

This is for people who liked Ross and Rachel. I do not belong to said people. If you cannot decide whether you should be with someone, or constantly change your mind, that confusion is your answer. Idc and I still hate them both, but Sam slightly less 😭

I really hate them both and how Zevin approaches every nuanced topic in this book except illness and disability but maybe that's intentional? Idk I'm really trying to figure out what's the purpose of this story

Both MCs are unlikeable and insufferably pretentious but it's so well written I can't put it down smh what a reading experience
