Two chapters in. Haven't really had much plot development so far so I can't make a judgement, yet.

I won't say I love this book just yet since I'm not even 10% into it. I will say, though, that I'm only on chapter 4 and I've already seen a good bit of my favorite tropes.

My only complaint is that the narrator for the audiobook is reading through the book too fast. I had to slow the speed down to 70% because that speed seemed more natural pacing.

This means the audiobook will take me >16 hours to get through.

Oliver deserves better from Luc, but Luc deserved better from the author.

I only read 1 chapter, so that I could start it tonight. I'll hopefully read more tomorrow.

I have loved every minute of this book. It's been an absolute cheesy rom-com, but it has heart. Definitely looking forward to the last chapter and the epilogue after a short break!

No character she writes will ever live up to Ilya Rozanov, but Casey came close.

I should be finished with this book tomorrow, at this rate. Still the same opinion so far. It's good, enjoyable- just not edge-of-your-seat page turning.

I forgot to update my progress yesterday, so there's a pretty big jump. This book is still shaping up to be a solid 3 ⭐ unless something spectacular happens. It's not bad, but it's not edge-of-your seat either.

It's like the Hallmark movie you're half paying attention to just so you can have background noise.

I've read 5 chapters today. I'm neutral on the book at this point- like it could go either way.

I'm balancing reading two books right now, so I'll pick this one up again tomorrow morning, and I'll hopefully have a more detailed opinion by then.

I've only read the first chapter, so the jury's still out. I've got to go to work or I'd read more.

As I'm hearing up to finish this book, I know the emotional rollercoaster is nowhere near finished. I'm so glad I didn't finish it in the short timeframe I was initially aiming for. I wouldn't have been able to process it properly.

This is one of those books that everyone should read at least once in their life.

This is a story that needed to be told, but be prepared. It's vile. Part VII: Boot Hill will make you cry. It will make you physically ill. I had to sit the book down to process.

One of the characters dies. Not only that but in Chapter 37, the unsettling knowledge that Haddock has been raping the children is put into words. Crutcher sees the blood evidence of it, but the act itself isn't described.

Two parts left, Part VII: Boot Hill and Part VIII: The Hunt.

I just finished breakfast, and I'm about to start reading some more. Since I didn't finish yesterday, like I originally wanted, my goal is to finish Boot Hill today and finish The Hunt tomorrow.

Pro tip: Don't make grand plans to finish this book in a couple of days. Take time to absorb and process. It's what a book like this deserves.

I'm hoping to finish this book tonight, since I'm going by the library it's due at tomorrow morning. It's definitely a good read - albeit with some very unsettling, nauseating characters (😷 Haddock 😷) so we'll see where I get.

I'm loving the beginning of this novel. There's hope for Robbie but an unsettling feeling of what's to come. It's categorized as horror, and I believe that's a perfect mood for the author to establish for the genre.

I'm hooked on this book! What else is there to say. I don't know if I can say this will be a five star, but it'll be at least a four star.

After already reading some the last few days, I read 20 chapters straight, and I had to put it down to eat and all. I'm about to pick it back up and I know it's gonna be one of those coffee at 2 am so I can stay awake for the last few pages books.
