It’s good and the world is very interesting, but this book isn’t doing a very good job at hooking me. The inciting incident was like 10 chapters deep.

Liking this so far, intriguing vibes.

I’m obviously a little to old to enjoy this as much as I would have a few years ago. This would have been straight up fire if I read this in middle school, alas my taste is too used to devastating stakes and extremely gritty fight scenes.

Loved this opening. It’s not my normal cup of tea but there is something about the way that skaa looked at the pov. I was like “Yasss babes”

Love this, don’t know why I haven’t picked it up sooner. Just finished the Red Rising series and am still on that Greek mythology band wagon.

Beginning was a bit slow but I am enjoying this so far.

Having a hard time taking this one down. I’m just so tired of seeing Xaden and Violet keep getting divided. Been there, done that.

Not sure I’ll be reading the next book. This shit was just so hallow, depthless. Give me more grit and strife.

Still super confused

Losing interest. I was under the impression this was a dystopian book series, but I’ve only been met with confusion and half-baked romance.

I’m crying

I am enjoying it, but I feel like the pacing is all off, and I am very confused still.

Loving it more now, but I will say this one is harder for me to get into than the previous three were. I think it’s because it’s less my style.

I’m not sure what’s going on anymore, I’m as confused as she is which is a good thing, but I feel like their relationship progression is a bit fast.

Now, I obviously love this series and Darrow, but I have no clue why I’m back with these characters. Everything felt resolved at the end of Morning Star, and I’m not very fond of these three new POV’s that drag me away from his.
And I find myself more hesitant to read on because I’m afraid something horrible is going to happen. I swear if he doesn’t get his peace I’ll cry and then riot.

As of right, I am blissfully confused, but very interested. I just don’t understand what we’re up against here.

Fricken loving this so far, can’t put it down.

Yeah, this is just the same as every other ya fantasy book out there.

Loving being back in the world, but I am confused why I am, a feeling I’m certain will leave shortly.

Eating this up

I’m bias right now because I just finished Red Rising and it was so much more complex than these booktok copy and pastes. But I’m still fairly enjoying this book, just craving complexity.
