Magnificent

Every page is full of sentences to underline and repeat like a prayer. The imagery is so striking and beautiful even in its brutality and violence. I already love this thing.

Vandermeer is capable of crafting sentences that you will want to read twice. Maybe even thrice. Love the visceral imagery of the organic. It’s horror and it’s wonder.

Heute ebenfalls über 60 Seiten gelesen. Den ganzen Nachmittag im Bett. Dann zum Espresso bei Café Lily. Dann in der Badewanne mit black metal im Hintergrund.

er sitzt noch immer in diesem auersbergischen Ohrensessel und denkt. Und es ist noch immer nicht langweilig. Ich habe gestern 60 Seiten gelesen und war keinen Moment gelangweilt. So viel dazu.

Jede Seite eine Freude

Can not stand the protagonist. Writing still good though. Like the twist that just happened. Became enormously irritated with the dumb bitch of a protagonist though. Something about her is so unbearably obnoxious. Almost happy that fucking house burned down. Anyways might end up liking this book though, depending on the ending. But it will likely be a 7 nothing more.

I am not sure what Is real, but I love the set-up.

Finished “I have a special plan for this world” today. Started it at 2 in the morning and went to sleep halfway through. I finished it in the morning, before sleeping another hour. Really liked it. Though I must say it isn’t some of his best work. The poem with the same title is way better than this. I haven’t read the title-story yet, because I listened to the audiobook not too long ago and not just once.
