Oh man! This ending was terrible. Things found their resolution and then 40 pages later after a hurricane, they all live happily ever after.

Marissa Meyer writes awkward romance so good! This book’s MC is so unlikeable. Prudence is so mean and judgmental with such a short temper it’s amazing she has any friends at all, and her biology class partner (who is constantly exasperated by her rants).
I would probably DNF this book, but I like the beach setting and want to see where this story goes....But, Prue,you are really testing my patience.

This is more adult than I was expecting. Some of the phraseology is weird. I’m finding that I’m re-reading some sentences or paragraphs twice. I know English may just be a second language for the author, but the way this story is being introduced is strange. I am enjoying the set-up so far.
The Andy character reminds me of a female Jack Reacher, but she’s only 5 foot 6, but lethally tough.

The narrator’s voice for the bank teller is a total (from the 80’s) valley girl. She’s impossible to deal with and hilarious! The real estate agent is also stuck in her own world and not very helpful.

I like this guy. The main character is kind of a lazy slacker, who makes just enough money to pay the bills and buy dog food. He has faults and is not perfect like so many other detective private investigators who always know what to do...

Wow. A good creepy haunted house story. Main characters are back inside the house they grew up in and are remembering why they ran away in the first place.

Creepy, smelly, hairy, giant creatures are roaming the neighborhood eating cats...?
